Helmut Reul Young Investigator Award
This award is open to young investigators below 35 years old, who have submitted at least one successful abstract. The top 5 scorers of the abstracts will make their presentations on Day 1, after the Opening Ceremony. The judges appointed by the board will select the award winner. The winner will receive US$ 1,000 together with a plaque made in Aachen, Germany, during the President’s Report Session.
Sezai Award
The award is sponsored by Professor Y. Sezai of Nihon University and awarded to the individual who contributes to the most innovative paper. There is no age restriction for this award. The winner will receive US $500.
Asia Pacific ISMCS Young Investigator Award
This award is open to young investigators below 35 years old from Asia Pacific to promote rotary blood technology in Asia Pacific. The award will be based on scores received from the eligible presentations at the congress. The award is sponsored by Professor Setsuo Takatani. The winner will receive $1000.
ISMCS Poster Award
The best poster will be decided by the judges selected from the board members. The winner will receive $500.
The 30th ISMCS traveling fellowship grant
Mission: The 30th ISMCS travelling fellowship offers travel grants to individuals presenting papers at the 30th Annual Scientific Meeting of the ISMCS to be held in Utsunomiya during the period between November 13th and November 15th, 2024 in order to foster the development and exchange of diverse ideas in the fields of mechanical circulatory support.
Eligibility: Our grant-making focuses on medical doctors, nurses, perfusionist, researchers, and students. Japanese physicians or researchers who are currently working in Japan are not eligible. Applicant must submit his/her abstract for the 30th ISMCS by the deadline for abstract submission.
Travel grant: Japanese JPY50,000/person, 30 presenters in total. This grant is supposed to partially cover airfare and accommodation fee. Registration fee is not exempted. The application for the grant must include: Application form containing the submitted abstract number, brief curriculum vitae describing the history of applicant’s subspecialty training.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates interested in applying for a grant from the 30th ISMCS travelling fellowship must submit an Application Form which is available on our website (https://kinki-convention.jp/ismcs30/index.html) by an e-mail and must complete the abstract submission online. Application form submitted to: The 30th Annual Meeting Secretariat (ismcs2024@totalriver.co.jp).
Selection of grant recipients: The program committee together with the congress chair of the 30th ISMCS will decide the recipients and the recipients will be notified by an e-mail after the deadline for abstract submission.

5. Notification of Acceptance
The Program committee will carefully review all submitted abstracts, consider the reviews, and then make a final decision on which papers to select.
The first author will receive a notification of acceptance via email by the end of August.
The paper selection results will also be listed on the congress website. Following the notification of acceptance, the first author must register for ISMCS2024, and abstracts can only be presented upon receipt of the registration fee.
